History
Suicide Silence dibentuk di Riverside, California, pada tahun 2002 dengan formasi awal Mitch Lucker dan Tanner Womack (vokal), Chris Garza dan Josh Goddard (gitar), Mike Bodkins (bas) dan Alex Lopez (dram). Namun setelah tampil sekali, Tanner dipecat sebelum band ini memulai rekaman demo pertamanya. Sebelum mulai menggarap album pertamanya, Mark Heylmun masuk menggantikan Josh. ‘The Cleansing’ yang dirilis pada September 2007 menjadi album debut Suicide Silence yang mencatat angka penjualan kedua terbesar sepanjang sejarah Century Media. Pemain bas baru, Dan Kenny lalu bergabung saat Suicide Silence memulai penggarapan rekaman album berikutnya, ‘No Time to Bleed’. Setelah perilisan album ini, Suicide Silence berhasil mendapatkan penghargaan sebagai “Best New Talent” di ajang bergengsi Revolver Golden Gods Awards yang diselenggarakan April 2009 silam. Proses rekaman ‘No Time to Bleed’ sendiri mereka kerjakan di New Jersey bersama Machine, produser yang antara lain pernah sukses menangani album milik Lamb of God.
