...and if you were expecting lava lamps, sassy 70's soul music, crazy hi-jinks and mirror balls, you're in luck!

I guess Tim Burton has resorted to remaking movies in his own special style these days, because the last original movie that he made (not counting animation) was Big Fish back in 2003. In fact, since Sleepy Hollow in 1999 (which we loved), he's done nothing but re-telling/remakes, save for Big Fish. Sleepy Hollow, Planet of the Apes, Willy Wonka, Sweeney Todd, Alice in Wonderland, and now Dark Shadows.

As creative as he's made those tales, other peoples tales mind you, it seems as if his creative well isn't as full as some people give him credit for. He's good at doing colorful, over the top, tongue in cheek winks at the old stories he's retelling, but what has he really created on his own?

We get it, Tim;  you're so creative that you need to put your special vision and imprint on oft regarded classic works. You have a story to tell. Your soul years to be heard. No one sees the world like you do (thankfully), and you have a creative obligation to save the doomed souls of those who dont think in pastel colors and abstract metaphor... we get it.

Now, he's re-made the Dark Shadows story into a fish out of water comedy. Will horror fans be happy about it? Will they even care?

Blah.

Still, as a "vampire" flick, it looks better than Twilight.

Eva Green and her awesome face area/tits, Chloe Moretz, and Johnny Depp always interest us, but we aren't sure about this... Also, we love lava lamp.
