Info Post

Don't forget that Best Buy's Upgrade & Save promo is going on through Saturday; bring in any DVD (has to be a legit DVD, in its case and all) and exchange it for a coupon for $5 off of any Blu-ray movie $9.99 and up.

We are not interested in shilling for Best Buy, but it's a crazy good deal, and we wanted you to know. They have tons of great horror flicks in store for $9.99 right now, and you can essentially get them half off with this promo. Hurry up and take advantage!

*As an example, I personally picked up 30 Days of Night, Daybreakers, Lost Boys, F13th: The Killer Cut, Halloween, all 3 of the Paranormal Activity flicks, and TCM 2003, all for $4.99 each. That's crazy cheap. For that cheap, I'm happy to double dip and upgrade to BLU.

This week's big release (for most people) is the new 3-D edition of Avatar. I am personally not the biggest fan of this flick, but it is gorgeous to look at, and looks near perfect on Blu-ray. Word is, the 3-D is absolutely stunning.

For us, the week's must have's are the Blu-ray Collector's Editions of Terror Train and The Funhouse. Both great, classic flicks (Funhouse is better), and they're packed with extras. We can't wait to see them in HD.

We're also keen on the multi-packs coming out this week. For people who don't already own the included flicks, they look to be great bargains.

As far as titles like Excision, Chernobyl Diaries, and Greystone Park go, we weren't impressed, and we'll be saving our money. Everything else is a "but it if you like it" type of thing.
